, WELLINGTON v. WANGANUI. By Telegraph—Press Assoniation. WANG ANUI, August 28. The football match Wangunui Wellington whs played, to-day, id beautiful weather. The game resulted in a rather easy victory lor Wellington by 22 points to ii. The home team played n good bard name, but the cleverness ol' Roberts and Wallace pioved too much for their dofeuue. This pair and Spencer (fullback) were re&ponsible directly or hidueclly tor almost all tbo scoring. Their running and dodging evoked hearty applause. With the exception of the players mentioned, the Wellington team did uofcappeur to be a particularly brilliant combination, theii play not qnlto realising anticipations. Diicctly after the start Wanganui got on a great rnsu, and Uogan scored from a linoout near the Wellington liue. Wellington soon got going, and scored at intervals throughout the remainder of the game. For the winners Roberts (2), tlardham and Manning scored tries, of which Spencer converted two and kicked a penalty goal, while Roberts also kicked a penalty goal. Mr P. C. Mackie, of Wellington, was referee.

A representative match between the Wellington and Wairarapa Schools will be played at Wellington, on Saturday. The team to represent the Wairarapa Schools is as follows: Puller, R. Renall, Daley, F. Fairbrother, H. Milne, Bowles, U. James, Knufcson, Pauling, Sievers, P. Mcßarron, R. Milne, R. Miller, E. Miller and Beard. Emergencies—Canton, Flj, Sutton and Mason. The following team will represent tho Weeleyan Bible Class against the Y.M.C.A., on Thursday:—G. Lawrence, 13. Donald, A. Williams, E. Burrows, J. Nicol, F. Daniell, J. Daniell, J. Johnstone, L. Denton, H. Daniell, F. Gtifllths, E. Tooby, A. Daniell, 0. Pragnell and G. Rees.
