FOOTBALL.
INTER-COLLEGIATE TOURNAMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association. WANGANUI, August 27. The annual inter-oollegiate football tournament was commenced at Wanganui, to-day, when the Wanganui Collegiate School defeated the Wellington College by five points to nil. A match between the Wairarapa Thursday Seniors and Horowhenua will be played on the Masterton Showgrounds on Thursday next. The following team will represent the Albion 11. against Rover 11., at Carterton, on Thursday next:—W. Flaws, D. Diggins, G. SowmaD, J. Wadham, T. Flaws, F. Leeks, R. Harding, W. Logan, Ken. Welch, S. Miller, K. Keith, W. Galyer, W. Thompson, R. Reeves, H. Allen. The drag will leave White's at 130 p.m. sharp. This match will deoide the Junior Championship. A match will be played on the Park Oval on Thursday afternoon, retween teams representing the Y.M.O.A. and Wesleyan Bible Class, in aid of the Park Beautifying Fund. The Y.M.O.A. team will be picked from the following:—Dixon, Parton (2), N. Hooper, A. Rees, Oflrley, R. Williams, V. Williams, W. Sigglekow, R. MoKenzie, R. Messenger, Waitai, W. Harding, Golder, McLean (2), W. Bannister.
