KURIPUNI METHODIST CHURCH.

ANNIVERSARY MEETING.

The public meeting in connection with the anniversary of theKuripuni Methodist Church waa held* last evening. The JRev. J. N. Buttle occupied the chair, and there was a fairly large attendance. Mr J. 0. Ingram, secretary , of the Church Trustees, and Mr R. Burton, Superintendent of the Sunday School, submitted the balancesheet in connection with the uhurch, which showed that the sum of £7l 17s 2d had been raised during the year, and that there waa a credit balance of £1 4s Id. Short addresses were given by the Chairman ami Messrs J. Heyhoe, Redman, and Hemer. The speakers congratulated the church on the present satisfactory state of affairs, and paid a tribute to those who had worked so zealously during the past year An efficient choir under Mr S. H. Ralph rendered several anthems during the evening. Other musical items were supplied by Messrs Ralph, Chilton, and Better. Mr G. L. Steward gave a recitation, entitled, "Jusurtha'sPrison Thoughts." The accompaniments were played by Miss Burton and Mr R. Sutton. At the conclusion of the meeting, on the motion of Mr C. E. Daniell, a vote of thanks was accorded to all those who had assisted afc the gathering.
