CHRISTCHURCH, August 15. la regard to the appeal by the Sratford Racing Club against a decision of tbe Taranaki Metropolitan Committee with reference to the disqualifications of Alex. Mitchell, Jas. Mitchell, J. D. Mitchell and ,A. H. Christie, tbe judges (Messrs H. D. Bell, Geo. Hunter and E. R. Guinness,), who were appointed by the Racing Conference to adjudicate in tbe case, have decided that the original judgments of tbe Stratford Committee were made without jurisdiction by reason of the presenoe of two members who could not properly sit, and therefore tbey disallowed the appeal. Under the very special circumstances tbe judges direot that tbe deposit of £2O be returned to the appellants without deduotion.
