The Wairarapa Golf Ciub (Rototawai) played a match against a team from Levin and Co., Wellington, on the Rototawai linfcs, on Saturday lbSt, and a very even contest resulted, each aide scoring two wins, two losses, and two ties. An extremely Rood round was put up by Mr J, Carne llidwili for the 18 holes. His first round read—s, 5. 5, 5, 4, 5, 4, i, 4, total 41; the second round was done in 4, 5, 4, 4, 4, 4, 3, 3, 4, total 35; making the whole round—76—a record. Following are the details of the match:—J. Carne Bidwill beat Ken. Duncan, W. E. Bidwill heat E. Pearce, G. Hume lost to W. Higginson, A. Haniiay lost to A. Macshane, J£-Pearoe tied with G. Pearce, W. Kiely tied with C. Pearce.—Carterton Newa.
