AWARDS EY THE LONDON AGENTS. It will be remembered that at the last Masterton .Show prizes were offered for the test sheep for freezing purposes. The conditions were that after the show the sheep were to b6 killed in Wellington, ana the carcases consigned in a frozen state to an agent in London, and there judged. The were'to be con-signed-for sale on the owner's account, and the net proceeds, together with a detailed account!of the sales and returns would be supplied to the owiiers. The detailed statement received from Messrs Fitters and Sons, of London, showing the prize awards, tjie remarks thereon and the weights and values of the carcases was laid before the meeting of the General Committee of the Masterton A. .and .P.- Association, on Saturday, as fellows : Class I.—Pen of five fat wethers or five maiden ewes, under 33 months, long wool or long wool oroes—First, McKenzie Bros, (five sheep); good quality, short legs, well covered, inclined to be fat on loins; weight 37st 7lbs; price per etone 2a" sd, gross proceeds £4 lis 6d. aeoond, W. H. Booth (four sheep); .good qunlifcy, fairly well covered; weight 31st 71bs; price per stone 2s sd, gross proceeds £3 17s 9d. Third, J. fc. Heukler (five sheep) ; good quality, well covered, rather large; weight 41 St 21b9;. price per stone 2s sd, gross proceeds £4 19s Bd. Glass ll.—Pen of five fat wethers, or five naiden ewe?, under 33 months, Down or Down crois—First, Morrison (Bros., (five sheep); four very good quality, one rather plain, full of meat, nice size, legs well covered; weight 36st 41 ba; price per stone, four at 2s 9d, one at 2s 4d; gross proceeds £4,17s Bd. Second, Morrison Bros, (five shaep); very good quality, finished, two rather fat on ribs; weight 37st 7lbs; price per stone, three at 2s 7d; gross proceeds £5 Is 6d. Third, J. F. Heokler (four sheep); three good quality, bat fat on ribe, one plain legs; weight 25st 121bs; price per stone, two at 23 7d, two at 2b 4d; gross iproceeds £?> ss. , Cirsa 111. —b'ive lnmb?, Down or Down cross— Firat, W. Perry; very good quality, short legs, well covered, nice weight: weight 22st 21bs; price per stoae 3s 4d; gross proceeds £3 14s 2d. Second, W. Perry, good quality, useful size, short legs, fairly well covered; weight 20st 41b"; price per stone 3s 4d; gross proceeds £3 8s 4d. Third, Morrison Bros ; good quality, but rather large for ordinary buyers; weight 25at 4lbs; price per stone 3u 3d; gross prooeerfs 2s lOd. Class IV.—Five iumbs, long wool or long wool cross First, W. Perry; very good quality, short legs and well finished; weight 24st 61ba; price per stone, 3s 4d; gross prooeeds £4 2s 6d. Second, W. H. Bboth; very good quality, short legs, well finished, rather too large for lambs; weight 24st 41 bs; prioe per stono 3s 4d; gross proceeds £4 Is Ba. Third, W. H. Booth; very good quality, mostly well oovered legs; weight 27st slbs; price per etone 3s 2d; gross prooeeds £4 7s sd. ' In Class I. there were six entries; itTclass 11., three entries; in Class 111., nine entries; and in Class IV., seven wntries. The prizes in eaah class were:—First» £2; seoond, £l.
