NORTH WAIRARAPA BENEVOLENT SOCIETY.
MEETING OF TRUSTEES. The monthly meeting of the Trustees of the North Wairarapa Benevolent Sooiety was held yesterday afternoon. There were present— Messrs R. T. Holmes (chairman), s?>. Feiat, J. Morris, junr., J. A. Kenall and Mrs Nicholls. It was resolved (1) to grant 6s per week rent to a family, the parents being in very bad heaitb; (2) to grant rations for one week to a family in distress; (3) to render asistance to two children whose parents were dead; (4) to grant rations, 10a net week, in another onse to a woman. The Secretary of the Wellington Benevolent Sooiety wrote stating that a man named Arthur Edwards had left the Ohiro Home, be having obtained employment. It having come to thp knowledge of the Trustees that a woman who was being alloweJ vent, had two able-bodied sons at home, aod the rent having been granted on the express condition that her sons should not remain at home, it was decided to discontinue the relief. A letter was received in oonueotion with insuring the inmates of the Renall-Solway Home, it was decided to take no action in the matter. The pay-sheet, amounting to £O3 17s lid (including additions to the Reuall-Solway Home) was passed for payment.
