MUNICIPAL FIRE BRIGADE.
MONTHLY MEETING
Tbe monthly meeting of the Masterton Munieipnl Fire Brigade was held last evening in the Central Station, Captain Jenkins presiding. Leave of absenoo was granted to Fireman Selby and JBranohman Holmes. Th 9 Secretary reported that the average attendance for last month was 27 for all mustere. A letter was received from the Trust Lands Trust intimating that they bad voted £lO to the funds of the Briaade. It was decided to thank tbe Trust for the grant. Donations of £1 Is eaob were voted to the widow of the late Secretary Rudkin, of-Kumara, and the "Ninepenay Nipper Fund." Captain Jentiinp, Lieutenant Ewiugton, Secretary Pragnell, Branobman Pickering, and fcireman MoEwen, were appointed a deputation to wait on the Borough Counoiljwjth reference to additional plant. Captain Jenkins presented Fireman B. G. MoEwen with a two years' extra service bar. It was deoided that all outward correspondence be read at each meeting. Mr B. Hounslow was eleoted an active member.
