Canterbury Park Handicap.—'Starshoot 1, Old Gold 2. Cairngorm JJ. Betting—2 to 1 Starshoot, 4to 1 Old Gold. The winner, with the New Zealand horse, Savoury, who also carried Bst 31b, muae the running into the straight, where Savoury dropped back. Starshoot, stalling off several challenges, won easily by a length. Time 2min ll^seo. The Hurdle Race was won by Pbryxus (9st), beating General \i\\roki, who carried 10st, by two lengths.
