The East Tyrone eleotion to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Mr Patrick Doogan resulted as follows:—*
Mr Kettle (Nationalist) ... 3,019 Mr MaoOaw (Conservative) 3,000
Majority
(Mr MaoOaw contested the seat at the last general election, and was defeated by Mr Doogan (Nationalist) by 31 votes).
