THIRTY EIGHT ZULUS SENTENCED.

PIETERMARITZBURG, July 25,
Thirty eight Zulus have beeu sentenced to two years' imprisonment in couneution with the rebellion.
They admitted that they had no grievance against the Government, and ouly rebelled because their chiefs ordered them co do so.

Judge Beaumont has been appointed to hold an independent inqulrj into the Bishop of Zululand's charges
(The Bishop of Zululand, the Right Rev. W. L. Vyvyan, charged RoystonVHorse with shooting natives in cold blood, stealing cattle belonging to loyal natives, and other conduct disgracing Englishmen. A military court enquired into tbe matter, and in the main exonerated the corps. The court considered it unavoidable that five natives were shot while trying to escape).
