YORKSHIRE SOCIETY.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of members of of the Yorkshire Society was held last evening, in the Club Hotel. Mr E. H. Waddington occupied the chair, and there was a large attendance of members. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs 0. H. Smith and H. Fawcett. The election of officers for the ensuing year resultecl aa follows: Patron, Mr J. 0. Andrews; President, Mr 0. H. Smith; Vice-Presi-dents, Rev. J. H. Sykes (Te Nui), an'l Messrs W. H. Nicholls, W. A. Fendall, G. Shaw (Carterton); General Committee, Messrs T. J. Pinkney, E. B. Waddington, W. H. Cole, A. W. Chapman, J. A. Shaokelton, G. M. Wood, and W. Cragg; Hon. Treasurer, Mr H. Nicholls: Auditors, Messrs W. A. Fendall and J. B. EmmeU, Hon. Secretary, Mr H. 11. Collins. It was decided to hold a sooial in St. Matthew's Schoolroom on September 20th. Measrß E H. Waddineton, J. A. Shaokelton, W. A. Fendall, J. B. Emmett, and the Secretary were appointed a committee to make the necessary arrangements for the function. Votes of thanks were accorded to the retiring officers. The next meeting of the Society will be held on August 22nd.
