TUHIRANGI v. MASTERTON 11. The final match for the. Junior Banner was played between the Masterton 11. and Tuhirangi teams at Morrison's Bush, on Saturday, and resulted in a meritorious ; win for the latter team by 14 points to 3. The game was one of the best seen in the Valley for h long time, and the score does not really indicate the difference between the teams from a scientific point of view. The Tahirangi team averaged over 12 stone per man, so that the Masterton players are to be complimented on the excellent showing they made. Jaro, "Devlin" (2) and Tipene soored tries for the winners. Harding kicked a penalty goal for Masterton. M. O'Leary, Walsh and Dorsett played well in the Masterton baoks. Parton played a dashing same in the forwards, and be was ably assisted by Selby, Barry, O'Neill, Harning and Daniell. Tipene and Tilson were the best of the winners' forwards, while Cowan and "Devlin" played well in the backs. Mr J. Brunton was referee. The result of this match does not definitely decide the Junior Championship, as one of the matches played between the teams is under i protest. Each team has won a I match, and the other played at Morrison's Bush a mostth ago was appealed against on the ground that Tuhirangi played four disqualified men. It is probable that this match will be claimed by the Masterton Club. It resulted in a win for Tuhirangi by a try to nil, although the local juniors had the better of the play practioally all through. WAIKARAPA RUGBY UNION. MEETING OF THE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE.
