MARTON JOCKEY CLUB.
ANNUAL RACE MEETING. The annual meeting of the Martou Jockey Club will be held on September sth and 6th next, when the Club will give the sum of 870 sovs in stakes. On the first day the value of the stakes is 405 sovs, 100 sovs of which is allotted to the Crofton Handicap, and 75 sovs to the Shorts Handicap. Both of these rao°s aro open events. On the second day the stakes amount to 465 sovs, the two principal events receiving 115 sovs and 75 sovs, respectively. These are also open events. Ihe stakes for the regaining events vary from 30 sovs to 60 sovs, and in addition in the Hunt Cup Steeplechase a cup valued at 10 sovs will be awarded. The full programme will be found on page one of this issue, and nominations are due with the Secretary, Mr G. F. Bishup, Marton, at 8 o'clook, on Friday, August 17th next.
