TRUST LANDS TRUST.
MONTHLY MEETING. Tbe monthly meeting of the Masterfcon Trust Lands Trustees was held last evening. There were present:— Messrs O. E. Daniell (chairman), .7. A. Renall, E. Feist, and T. B. Miohell. The Treasurer reported a credit balance, of £422 6s 7d. Accounts amounting to £4O 8s were passed for payment. The Inspector of Nuisances wrote requiring the Trustees to carry out repairs to different drainage connections on several Trust properties; also requiring the Trustees to oonneot the Fire Brigade Station and the. custodian's cottage alongside wi£h the Borough drainage. It was deoided that Mesßrs Daniell and Miohell should ooufer with the Borough Council iu the matter of the drainage of the Fire Brigade Station. The other cases were left in the hands of the Secretary. Mr R. Brown, Chairman of the Masfcerton School Committee, attended, the meeting, and asked the Trustees to consider the question of allowing the School Committee the usual annual grant (£95) this year. Last year without any notice the Trustees had only given the Committee half the usual grant, and thus a large amount of Government subsidy was lost to the Committee. While present, Mr Brown, is Town Clerk, also asked the Trustees to consider a grant towards the Park when they were dealing with the grants. A grant of £95 was made towards the School, and the question of a grant towards the Park was held over.
