MASTERTON HOSPITAL TRUSTEES.

MONTLHY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Masterton Hospital Trustees was held yesterday morning. There were present—Messrs A. W. Oogg (chairman), W. Fisher, W. Harris, J. C. Cooper, M. J. U. Jackson and J. 13. Keith. The Treasurer reported as follows: —Or. balance at last meeting, £B4O 4s sd; receipts, £ls 15s 6d; disbursements £'l32 10s sd; cr. balance at date £723 9s 6d. Accounts amounting to £4B 13s lOd were passed for payment. The Matron's report showed that there were thirteen patients In the Hospital at last meeting, thirteen had since been admitted, thirteen had been discharged, three had died, leaving ten at present in the institution. A letter was received from the Wairarapa District Hospital Board asking whether, in view of the probaiile erection by the Board of a hospital for infectious diseases, the Trustees wore prepared to vest enough land (with right of aocess thereto) in the Board for that purpose. The Trustees deoided to make enquiry into the legal position of the matter before acting definitely. Mr J. C. Cooper was appointed visiting member for the month. Messrs W. M. l Easthope and A. Nicol, secretaries of the recent bloral Fete, wrote explaining the situation with regard to the payment of the funds derived from' the Floral Fete to the Treasurer, Mr J. C. Uoddington. The Chairman said that he thought that the secretaries were responsible to the Floral Fete Committee and not to the Hospital Trustees. On the motion of the Chairman, it was decided that the Trustees had no reason to believe that the secretariess had carried out their work otherwise than efficiently. It was further deoided to forward a letter of explanation to Messrs Nicol and Easthope,
