BAND, FIRE BRIGADE AND VOLUNTEER BAZAAR.

A meeting of the General Committee in connection with the Fire Brigade, Band and Volunteer Bazaar, held last eveninsr. A letter was received from Mrs Irene Connop, of New Plymouth, stating that she would be in Masterton, on Friday, to commence her duties in instructing the ladies in fancy dancing. It was decided that a meeting of all the ladies who are willing to take part bo called for Friday evening, at 7.30 o'olocb, to mnet Mrs Connop, who will go thoroughly into the matter with them. It was arranged that lists be handed to members of the three hodies for tho purpose of canvass- I ing for the Bazaar. Tho lists will all be marked wiLh tho official stamp. The Sub-Committee reported that v satisfactory progress was being made. Several valuable carvings and painted mirrors had teen donated to the Bazaar. The supervisor reported that everything to date was progressing favourably. Ift was decided that in purchasing goods, an order Signed and stamped be given. The members of the working bee, with power to add to their number, werß appointed a corrmiittee to arrange the po&itious and designs of th<? stalls. Everything to date points to the Bazaar being a decided sucoess.
