MASTERTON A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.

The annual meeting of the Masterton A. and P. Assooiaion is to be held on July 26. The annual report states, inter alia:—"The statements discloses an increase of £239 Ob Ad In receipts on the previous year, and an increase of £825 Os 3d in aotual expenditure for the same period. Of this amount a total of £783 7s lOd has been expended on improvemnts and plant. "Chief among the improvements effected daring the past year is the erection of a' new and aommodious grandstand. Extensive alterations were also made to the old grandstand, in. order to facilitate luncheon arrangements.

"During the year past the subject of experimental farming engaged the attention of your Committee, and a sob-Committee was appointed, in conjunction with the VVairarapa and East Coast Pastoral and Agricultural Society, to make experiments on various root orops wiin a view to ascertaining the most profitable kinds and quantities of manures in this distriot.

"The New Zealand Romney Marsh Sheep-breeders' Association was pleased to make this Association's last Snow the convincing ground for its annual championships for ewe and rim, and this act of consideration was responsible for the finest and largest Show of Romney Marsh sheep ye*, field in this distriot. "During the year, 47 new members were elected, but owing to re signations and other causes, the total membership praotioally remains unaltered since tne last annual meeting. .'

"A'President, two Vice Presidents, Treasurer, Auditor, and General J Committee will have to be elected in acoordanoe with the rules of the Association." The trophy account shows receipts to be £75 19s 6d, trophies allotted £6B 12s 6d, leaving a balance of £7 [7s.
