PROPOSED SCHOOL AT LANSDOWNE.
Messrs A , W. Hogg and E. Feist, members of the Wellington Education Board, are enquiring into the proposal to establish a subool at Lanßdowne. Yesterday they oodferred* with Messrs D. A. Morton, J. C. Ewington, and W. Harris, representing Che Lansdowne residents, and Messrs K Brown and W; H., Jaokson and Inspector Fleming on the question. The matter was thoroughly disoussed, and the Education Board's representatives intimated their intention of reporting their views on the matter to the next meeting of the Board. During the course of the disoussion the Lansdowne delegates intimated that the Maaterton Ccunty Council would not do anything to improve the Northern Approach. It was on account of the state of the approach that the Lansdowne residents had objections to their ohildren coming into Masterton to school.
