KIA KAHA B v. CARTERTON.

The Kia Kaha B team met the Carterton team, at Carterton, yesterday. The latter team won by two goals (hit by W. Fisher) to nil. The game was a very poor exhibition, both team 9 lacking combination. Fisber Bros, and Feist played well for the winners. Carley, Hatch and Nicol were conspicuous for the Kia Kaha team. Mr W. A. Kitchen was referee.

HUIA v. GREYTOWN

A good match was witnessed nt Greytown, yesterday afternoon, wbeu the Huias met the Greytown team. There was a large attenrtance of the public. The Masterton girls held their own against a strong combination in the early stages of the game, but after that they were mostly on the defensive. Mainly through their effective hard-hitting, the local team won by three goals to nil. The goals were scored by Misses Z. aud E. Humphries and Maguire. Besides tbe goal-hitters Misses Dunn aud Keedwell played well for Greytown. Miss R. Hooper played an excellent game for the Huias, as did Misses Sutton, Gardiner, and Barker. Mr J. B. Rue was referee.

Garry Owen met Carterton on the letter's grounds, yesterday, and after a fairly even game the match resulted in a draw,, neither side scoring. Mr R. Anderson was referee, g

Perhaps the most noticeable players for the losers were MisBBB Logan, Mollattio, Hood and McGregor, tbe first-named player fairly excelling herself ou the wing. Her fast diibbliug wa3 a feature of t!.«e Maine, I'bo Raunos all played a good game, and the backs were very sound iu thoir defeuce, thus enabling the forwards to make good us 9of their attacking powers. Misses lieyhoe aud Wiutriugham, on the wings, gave their opponents a lively tiii'e. 'i'bey were well backed' up by Misss Dean, Carmiohael and V. Carpenter, who showed much improved form, aud played with good combination The goal was bit by Miss V. Carpenter, Mr Noblo-Campbull was referee, and gav«j every satisfaction to both aides. '
