SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP.
ALBIONS v. ROVERS,
gThe Albion-Rover Reniar Cup match, flayed at Carterton, was an evenly contested one, and the .Rovers' win of 11 points to nil by no means represents tho difference in the merits of the two teams. The Albions sadly laoked combination. Tries were scored for the winners by McKinnon, V. Fair brother and Perrin, one of which was converted. All She tries were score in tho first spell. Mark O'Leary (half) played a splendid game for the Albiuns. M. O'Leary, Wickeus aud-Moana were, perhaps, the pick of the forwards. Mr E. McKeuzie was referee.

KIA TOA v. HOVERS.
The Kia Toa aud Raver teams mat on she Showgrounds, yester day. The game resulted in a win for th 3 Rovers by four points to nil. J. Daley potted a gcal for the winners. /
ALBION 11. v. LIBERALS
Tbe Albion Juniors journeyed to Greytown, yesterday, and met and defeated the .Liberals by 11 points to 3 points.
WAIRARAPA THURSDAY UNION,
A meeting of the Management Committee of the Vfairarapa Thursday Union wad held at Cartertou last night. There were present:— Messrs K. Armstrong (in the ohair), J. F. Wallis, J. Wiokens, and A. Holms. It was decided that the postponed Junior matohes he played on July 19tb, as under: Albions v. Rovers, at Carterton. KiaToa v. Liberals, at Featherston. A North v. South Wairarapa Junior representative match was arranged foi July 26th, at Carterton, when a team to represent the Union against the Bush Juniorj will be selected. The Seoretary (Mr P. O'Connor) wa« elected to act in conjunction with Messrs E. McKenzie and K. Armstrong as a member of th© Senior Selection Committee. The protest of the Albion Juniors against the Kia Toa's win, on June 28th, on the grounds that one of the latter's players was also playing for tbe Hamua Club, and had not been granted a transfer, was upheld; the protest of Gladstone against Rovers was dismissed, and the Liberal Clubs' protest against the Albion Juniors for playing J. Wadbam, who it was stated had not been 14 days in the district, was held over until next meeting, when it is hoped the Featheraton Club's representative will be present. The Marlborough, Horowhenua and Golden Bay Rugby Unions wrote with regard to playing representative matohes in the Wairarapa this season. A motion of sympathy with the Seoretary (Mr F. O'Connor) in his bereavement was passed. The Senior fixtures as drawn for the third round are as under:— Albions v Gladstone, at Gladstone, on the 19th. Rovers a bye. Albions v. Rovers, at Masterton, on the 26tb. Gladstone a bye. Gladstone v. Rovers, at Carterton, on August 2nd. Albions a bye.
The following team will represent Masterton against Carterton on Saturday, at Masterton:— Marohant, Frendeville, Miller, O'Leary (2), Logan, Gray, Ross, King, Jenkins, Duggan, Lyall, Maokellar,. Spaceman, and Greenfield. The following team will represent Masterton 11. against Tuhirangi, at Carterton, to-morrow:— O'Leary, Jackson, Walsh, jtsawson, Jones, Dorsett, O'Neill, Barry. Harding, Lett, Parton, Daniell, Sclby, McHattie and Hanley. The drag will leave at 1.30 o'olook sharp.
