MASTERTON STOCK REPORT. 1 Messrs Abraham and Williams, Limited, report on their Masterton stock sale as follows:—At Masterton, yesterday, we yarded about 2.00 C sheep short of advertised numbers, the' entry comprising mostly cull lambs and low-conditioned ewes. Business at auction was irregular, but the hulk of the yarding changed hands, viry little remaining nnsold. We have several enquiriea s for good conditioned breeding ewes and well-grown hoggets. The entry of cattle was confined to a line of young steers, and a pen of fat and forward bullocks with the usual oddments, whioh found purchasers at current rates. Quotations:— Sheep —Fat ewes 16s 6d to 17s 7d, empty ewes 10s 5d to 12s, crocks 3a to 3s 6d, cull breeding ewes 9s 6d to lis 3d, fair lambs 10s to lis 6d, small and weedy lambs 5s 7d to 8s 2d, store wethers 16s 9d. Cattle—Pat and forward bullocks £5 17s 6d to £6 2s 6d, 2-year steers £3 to £3 2s. PigsSmall weaner pigs 7s.
JOHNSONVILLE STOCK SALE. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Johnsonville sale as follows:—A fair entry of bollocks, but the quality was only fair. A few pens were good. Beef made 21s. Best bullocks £8 15s, others £8 7s 6d to £8 12s 6d and £7 10s to £B, light £6 12s 6d to £7. A good yarding of sheep, buth wethers and ewes were of prime quality. Best wethers 22s Id, others 20a 3d to 21s Id, ewes 19s lid, others 18s 6d, lighter 17s lo 18s, store ewes 12s 9d, ewes in lamb (old) Bs.
