NIREAHA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Wednesday. Since writing last the weather has greatly improved, and outside work has been pursued without interruption. A number of Residents journeyed to witneaa the funeral of the la te Premier. Amongst those who attended were Mr Nireaba ' Tamaki, Messrs Moss and Redpath' (Eketahuna County Counoil), Mr Herbert (Eketabuna Town Board), and Mr K. Smith, (Pahiatua County Council). A number from this district; attended the Palmerston Show, and to dairy farmers the Show wbb no .loubt very instructive, Probably the greatest interest was centred on the milking maohines. On Saturday night, our usual dance was held and a better attendance could hardly have been wished for. Mr Daysb supplied excellent music, and Mr Fulion was M.C. Steps are about to be taken to ask the Land Board to vest the forest-re-serves in some person who will look after them and keep stray stook out until the reserves are put on tne market. f
