MASTERTON HOSPITAL TRUSTEES.

MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Maalerton Hospital Trustees was held yesterday morning. There were present—Messrs J. A. Renall (chairman), J. B. Keith, M. J. H. Jackson, W. Fisher, J. 0. Ewington, and W. Harris. An apology for absence was received jfrom Mr A. W. Uogtr, M.H.K. The Treasurer reported as follows: —Or balance at last meeting, £BB7 Is lOd; disbursements, £95 6s lid; receipts, £4B 9s 6d; leaving a credit balance at date of £B4O Is sd.

The Matron reported fchat there were 15 patients in the Hospital at last meeting; 16 had been since admitted, and 18 bad been discharged, leaving 13 patients at present under treatment in the institution. Accounts amounting to £6O 7s were passed for payment.

Tne Matron was authorised to secure material for nnises uniforms. Messrs Oriohton and McKay, arohiteotß for the new Hospital, forwarded fresh plana for the building, showing oertain alterations suggested by Dr A. Hosking. Dr. Hosking and Mr J. Rose (Clerk of Works) were instructed to visit Wellington and wait on the architects and point out the suggestions of the Trustees with regard to alterations in the plans. Subject to these alterations the plans were adopted. When these alterations are carried oat the architects are to be inatructed to call tenders for the new Hospital

Mr F. G. Moore, Secretary of tbe Wairarapa District Hospital Board, wrote stating that the £I,OOO voted by the Board for the erection of an infections diseases hospital in Mastwrton would not be available until the fall contributions were paid by the several local bodies concerned, and the subsidy thereon was received from tbe Government. As the final contribution for the year was not due until February 4th, 1907, the full amount would probably not be in hand before about the middle of March, 1907. The Chairman of the Board, however, propused to confer with other members of the Board on tbe matter, and if it were considered advisable, a special meeting of the Board would be held to consider tbe matter. A committee consisting of Messrs Kenall, Keith and -Harris, was ap> pointed to deal with tbe question of planting trees round the boundary of the Hospital site. Messrs Recall, Keith, Ewington and Hogg were appointed a committee to draw up the annual report. t Mr Renall vraa appointed visiting member for the month.
