Saturday. A meet of the Wairarapa Hunt Club was held at Langdale on Jane 23rd, and proved to be one of the best runs yet held in the district. The weather was perfect and visitors were present from all parts of the district. There was not one fall daring the ran. The meet took place at Mr D. Bennett's homestead, and the run took a long round and then down to Riverside Farm, the homestead of Mr and Mrs Q. Fellingham, where huntsmen w*re hospitably entertained by Mrs Fellingham and other ladies, and was much appreciated. Cheers were given for the ladies. A speoial word of praise ie due to the ladies of the distriot fbr the trouble they are always willing to go to in connection with entertaining the huntsmen. Grove, Satan; J. White, Tiioksie. The body of the man Andrew Tait, who is supposed to have jumped overboard from the steamer Kahu last Saturday, has not yet been recovered.
