Mr John Burns, President of the Local Government Board, replying to Mr, Field, the member for Dublin and vice-president of the National Federation of Meat Trades, said the Government had initiated an enquiry into the reliability of the system of inspection of Amerioan meat exports to Britain.
NEW ZEALAND METHODS ALMOST PERFECT.

The Hon. W. P. Reeves, High Commissioner for New Zealand, in an Interview, claimed that the New Zealand Uovefnment's methods in conneotion with the inspection of meat were almost peifeot.
