THE NATIVE DISTURBANCE.
Received June 7, 8.26 a.m. , PIETERMARITZBURG, June 6.
The Natal rebels ambushed Captain Clark's squadron at the bottom of a donga.
Three hundred natives obarged through fifteen Europeans, and, returning, surrounded them. Captain Clark, who was lying on the ground wounded, continued emptying his revolver, and urging his men to keep steady and help the wounded.
The defenders fought desperately, sheltering behind masses of rook and tangled undergrowth until Roystons Horse arrived on the scene.
Robertson, an Australian, and another Australian trooper were .killed.
BIG ENVELOPING MOVEMENT.
Received June 7, 8.32 a.m. PIETERMARITZBURG, June 6. A big enveloping movement has begun. The rebel Signnandi is hiding in a long line of caves.
A SON OF SIGANANDI KILLED.
Received June 7, 10.30 p.m. PIETERMARITZBURG, Jnne 7. - Siganandi's second son -was killed in Sunday's fighting.
