Mr Chapman, the Commonwealth Postmaster-General, assured a representative of the Pall Mall Gazette that the people of the Commonwealth were "whole hoggers." He added that Labour would materially assist Mr Chamberlain to win ultimately. He believed there was ample room for the Labour party in Australian politics.
