ST. PATRICK'S CONCERT.
Tho St. Patrick's Day Sports Association will give a concert in the Town Hall, Mastarton, this evening. Those who will contribute items include Misses L. Irvine, O'Malley, O'Brien, and M. Cameron, and Messrs R. Duff, F. Crewes, D. Walsh, F. Haugbey, W. Jago, R. Moßae, and Harry Hall. Of Miss Lilian Irvine, the New Zealand Timea, in a report of the H.A.G.8.3. concert, held recently in Wellington, Bays:—"Miss Lilian Irvine, a very young but extremely promising soprano, gave much pleasure in all her numbers. Her voice, especially in the upper register, is delightfully sweet and trae. It is not too much to prophesy that if judicious tuition is available, this little lady will add another name to the roil of vooal artistes who oall New ' Zealand 'Home.' She is lacking in some essentials, but her defects are due to inexperience, not to want of musical instinct."
