DUNEDIN SUPREME COURT.

DUNEDIN, May 30. The criminal sittings of the Supreme Court were ooncluded to-day. William Walquist was re tried on a charge of assault and robbery, the previous jury 'having disagreed, and on being found guilty, was sentenced to three years' imprisonment. Alfred Walker Pearson, for the theft of a sum of money from a partner, received twelve months' imprisunment. Harry Walter Morley s who had pleaded guilty at Oamaru to embezzling £149 from his em pi oyer, was sentenced to twelve months' imprisonment. Justice Cooper declined to grant probation in the last two cases.
