PTOMAINE POISONING.
PALMERSTON N., May 30. At the inquest. to day, touching the death of C. .Hosking, aged 66 years, a verdict whs returned as follows: "That Mr Hosking died from heart failure, caused by exhaustion from the effects of ptomaine poisoning through having eaten tongue." The presence of the poison in the meat seems from the evidence to be purely unaccountable, and no blame is attachable to anyone.
