THE NATIVE DISTURBANCE. Reoeived May 30, 8.8 a.m. PIETERMARITZBURG, May 29. NkiKwa, Siganandi's principal induna, and six followers, bare sur rendered to Colonel Mackenzie and some others are preparing to surrender. The rebels made a foraging expedition outside of the forest in which they are located. Loyal natives, on their own initiative, drove them back, killing and wounding several. Colonel Leuohnrs, with two squadrons of the Umooti Mounted Rides, has proceeded to Bokinyoni Hill, on the Zululaud aide of the Buffalo Riv«r. He surprised a party of rebels, killing eight. THEY EXPEL THE ENEMY FROM A DONGA, t Reoeived May 30, 9.17 p.m. PIETERMARITZBURG, May 30. Colonel Leuohars' foroe camped on Bokinyoni Hill.' Sibindi's impi joining him on the hill, they attacked, at half-past five in the morning, six hundred rebels, who under good cover. When the enemy reached within fifty yards of Colonel Leuohars' force, they received a heavy rifle fire. The rebels retreated. Fifty seven of the rebels were killed in the fight. Thirteen more were shot in the subsequent pursuit. One rifleman, belonging to Colonel Leuchars' force, was killed. Three other whites were wounded. The friendly natives fought excellently, and expelled the enemy from a donga, where they were sheltering. Colonel Leuchars has returned to Krantzkop. V ANOTHER BRUSH WITH THE REBELS. FORTY KILLED. Received May 30, 10 p.m. NATAL, May 30. Colonel Mackenzie will receive five hundred reinforcements. In a bruEh with the rebels in the valley bush near the Inauzi River, forty rebels were killed. A UNION WITH ORANGIA. DISCUSSED BY MEMBERS OF ASSEMBLY. AMALGAMATION FAVOURED. Received May 30, 11.7 p.m. PIETERMARITZBURG, May 30. Members of the Natal Assembly are seriously discussing a union with Orangia. It is claimed that tbe iuterests of the two colonies are closely identified, and a motion in favour of amalgamation will shortly be introduced.
