COUNCIL OF CHURCHES.

DUNEDIN. May 28. The Council of Churches discussed the question of Sunday trading as carried on in connection with some of the shops in Dunedin. ' It was stated that in one place there were forms for youths to sit on while they were served with lemonade and some cheap literature was provided. It was decided to confer wityi the Inspector of Police and members of Parliament on the subject. It was resolved "That this Council affirms its antagonism to the totalisator and agrees to make a deoisive attack upon it."
