WM. ANDERSON'S DRAMATIC COMPANY.
There is every prospeot of the season of the Anderson Dramatic Company, which will open in the Town Hall, to-night, being a successful one. Already the booking is very heavy. The opening production tonight will be Arthur Shirley and George Conquest's play "The Work Girl." This piece, wherever it has teen produced, has scored an instant success. It is only necessary to quote the experience of Melbourne, where the play ran for eight consecutive weeks to large houses, to show that it is above the ordinary. Such a testimony to its "drawing" qualities speaks louder than words. The piece dfials with the life of a young girl, forced by circumstances to earn her living in the sweating dens in England. Suoh a theme of course presents splendid opportunities for picturesque dramatisation. The authors have not failed to remember that there is a lighter side to life, and as a consequence the play as brightened by some pretty comedy work, and by a love story. The box plan is on view at Miss A. i). Rive's.
