EMPIRE DAY.

Received May 26, 12.39 a.m. LONDON, May 25. Empire Day was widely celebrated with patriotio fervour, the movement showing a great advance. Eight thousand five hundred and ninety-five schools in Great Britain and 22,295 in the colonies participated. The flags were flying on most of the public buildings in London, and on many of the private buildings. Some of the provincial oelebrations were on a very elaborate scale.
