DIVORCE COURT.
A MASI'ERTON CASE. WELLINGTON, May 21. Sitting in tbe Divorce Court, this afternoon, Justice Denniston took further evidence iu tbe caso of Hugh Campbell, junr.. of Opaki, iVJasterton, v. Mary McAdam Campbell and another, tbe bearing of which was begun last week before Justice Cooper. ~z His Honor granted a deoree nisi, with costs, £ls, and disbursements against the 00-respondent, W. W. Emslie, of Oakurt;, New Plymouth. FRAUDULENT PRACTICES. A FINE OP £SOO IMPOSED. AUCKLAND. May 21. At the Supreme Court John Schisohka, a merchant, pleaded guilty to unlawfully selling manure to which a false trade mark was applied, and applying a false trade description to certain goods. His Honor inflicted a fine of £SOO, or in default twelve months' imprisonment. His Honor commeated very strongly on the case,, and said that it was ; a contemptible fraud to be committed by a person in the high position iu the commercial world ocoupied by accused.
