THE WAIRARAPA OLCB. SECOND DA*. The weather was beautiful for the seoond day of the Wairarapa Coursing Club's jiMny meeting, which took place ou the Showgrounds yesterday. There was a large attendance of the public, includiug a number of ladies. The hares ran well, and the ooursing on the whole was better than on toe previous day, and gave un indieationjjjof what one shjuld expect in the finals, which are to be decided to-day. TLe sum of £lO 5s was taken at the gate. The third roun<l of the Cup. the second and third rounds of the Maiden Stake, and the first round of the Supplementary Stake, were decided yesterday with the following results:— . WAIRARAPA CUP. Third Round. Derby Day beat Diamond Bob. Honesty beat iiousegirl. Secret Arab beat The Marquis. Lobelia a bye. MAIDEN STAKE. Second Round.—Niueof Diamond beat Dusky Miller, Hooplorn beat Olive Goldsmith, Rosemary beat Iris, Stringy Hark beat Pretty Polly, 'lutanekai, beat Grey Steel, Port Arthur beat Redferu, Valley's Pride beat Inspan, Royalist boat Plaidie, .Bobtail beat Maori Hoy, Paddy Whaok beat Pirate. Third Round.—Nine of Diamonds beat Hoopiron, Stringy Bark beat Rosemary, Tutanekai beat Port Arthur, Royalist beat Valley's Pride, bobtail beat Paddy Whaok. SUPPLEMENTARY STAKE.
Release beat Panama, Clarissa beat Doughboy, Laburnam beat Olorine, Crimson .Rambler beat Black Watch, Enchanter a bye. The meeting will conclude to-day, and the coursing, especially in the Cup, should be well worth watching. In the fourth round of the big event the oourses will be as follow: —Derby Day meets Honesty, and Street Arab meets Lobelia. In the fourth round of the Maiden th« following will be the order of the courses:—-Nine .of Diamonds meets Stringy Bark, Tutanekai meets Royalist. Bobtail a bye. In the seaond round of the Supplementary Stake, Release meets Clarissa, Laburnam moots Enchanter,- Crimson Rambler a bye.
