A BIG DEMONSTRATION. PROTEST AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT'S NEGLECT. VIOLENT SPEECHES ijELIVERED. Received May 16, 9.30 a.m. LONDON, May 15. Nine thousand unemployed took part in a demonstration in'the West End (the aristocratic part of London). The gathering was held as a protest against the Government's neglect and to denounce the inactivity of Mr John Burns, President of the Local Government Board. The wealthy ulassea were loudly hissed.' - Messrs Will Thnrne and KeirHardie delivered violent speeches.
