THE NATIVE DISTURBANCE. PURSUIT OF BAMBAATA. Received May 16. 9.30 a.m. PIETERM ARI'IZBURG, May 15. The rebel Bambaata has entered Natal, and is trying to reaoh Irnpananza, near Greytown. Niel and Peter Botha's second district reserves at Greytown have joined Colonel Leuchar's force. Heavy fighting is reported 'to have occurred near Krantzkop. Sevnral tribes on the Natal side of the Tugela River are ready to rise. / SIGANAN'S CHIEF KRAAL SHELLED. Received May 17, 12.20 a.m'. PIETERMARITZBURG, May 16. Colonel MoKenzie has shelled Biganan's chief kraal. MINISTERIAL CRISIS NAR- "* EOWLY AVERTED. NEED OF REVENUE EMPHASISED. Received May 16, 10,47 p.m. PIETERMARITZBUKG, May 16. A Ministerial crisis in the Natal Legislative Assembly over au Uuoooupied Land Tax Bill was narrowly averted. The Chairman of the Committee was voted out of the chair. The House did not wish Mr Smythe (the Premier) to resign at the present juncture. Mr Smythe emphasised the need of revenue. There are indications that the Bill wiil be re-introduced subject to a slight amendment.
