A NEW YORK SENSATION.
NEW YORK, May 11. It was reported the other day that a burgla,r had shot Mr Charles Spiers, a leading member of the Standard Oil Company. Tho discovery is now made that there are extensive defalcations in Mr Spiers' books, and this occasions the belief that he oommitted suicide, and arranged a burglary to divert suspicion.
