TRUST LANDS TRUST.
MONTHLY MEETING. The ordinary meeting of the Masterton Trust Lands Trustees waa held last evening. There were pre-sent—-Messrs U. E. Daniel! (chairman), T. Wagg, T. B. Miohell, and E. Feist. The Treasurer reported as follows: —Dr. balance as per hank book, £395'185; or. balance at deposit in bank, £798 Os sd. Accounts amounting to £136 15a 5d (including a grant of £SO towards the fending of the agricultural plot at the Masterton District High School) were passed for payment.
A letter was reoeived frcm the Greytown Tmst Lands Trust asking for information regarding what authority the Masterton Trustees had for spending money on the erection of the Town Hull. The Secretary reported that he had supplied the Deoessary information. The Wellington Education Board wrote thanking the Trustees for their grant of £l5O for the equipment of the new schoolrooms at the Masterton District High School. The Board believed that the Trustees wouSd be pleased with the manner in which the money bad been spent. It was decided to leave the matter of preparing the Masterton Trust Lands Trust Empowering Aot Amendment Bill in the hands of Mr 0. H, Izard, of Wellington. The object of the Bill is to make the Empoweiing Aot workable and enable the Trusteet to give valuable security to the Wellington Harbour Board, which the passing of the Empowering Aot practically invalidated.
