CRICKET.

AUSTRALIAN BOARD OF CONTROL. By Telegraph—Press Association. Rooeiv ed May 3, 11 a.m. SYDNEY, May 3. A state of muddle exists in connection with the Board of Control of cricket. The Melbourne Ulub has withdrawn its representation, nomiually on the ground of the rejection of the suggestion made by tho South Australian Cricket Association that the Board should only finance Auotralian teams going to England if necessary. I'his suggestion, if oarried, would leave the way open for speclative tours in England, a thing which the creation of the Board was intended to prevent. It is believed that tho Marylebone Club is unlikely to mako any cricket arrangements without consulting the body which represents New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland.
