One of the census sub-enumera-tors, delivering the schedules which; have to be filled in oa Sunday night, struck an unpromising patch in Ohristohurob this week. On going to a Chinese laundry on his usual errand he was met with an absolute refusal to receive the paper or to give any information. As the paper is blue, it may have been taken far a legal document. As the Chinaman had a very hot and heavy iron, in bis hand, the Census man placed the paper on the counter and beat a,, hasty retreat.—■ Exchange.
