(From Our Own Correspondent). EKETAHUNA, Friday. I understand that Professor Bonner of Bostook and Wombwell's oiroua, intends treating the people of Pahiatua, to-morrow afternoon, with one of his public hypnotic performances in the main street. Our friends further up the Bush should not miss this chance of seeing one of the world's wouders. Settlers who have just arrived from Alf red ton and Bongomai say that the storm is blowing with unabated fury, and they compare it with the one expexienced laat August. The Eketabuna Amateur Dramatio Club gave a benefit entertainment at Newman Inst night, which was highly appreciated by the people out that way. . The Weather has suddenly changed from one to another. At the present time it is blowing with terrific foroe, and,has been doing so since last night. At intervals it is aooompanied with heavy I'ain. This is the farmers day in town to attend, tne sale. Very few, however, have thought it good enough t.o venture out. ' The goods platform near the shed at the Railway Station wants improving badly. It was a busy scene up there to-day. The oiroua people and their tons of goods and animals were all cramped for room; and the platform—the only one, by the way, available for goods traffic—is altogether too small, and requires to be made larger and more convenient;.
