"LIVING LONDON."
Mahomet found, with all his power, the mountain would not come to him; and in like manner Messrs J. and N. Tait find they oannot bring London to New Zealand. They have, however, done the next beat thine—in presenting the famous living picture, "Living London," at the Town Hall, to-mor-row and Saturday evenings and Saturday afternoon. The film (a record one 6,000 feet in length) un rolls 280 scenes of the mighty metropolis in all its varied phases. Not only have the beauty spots 'been eeleoted in this vast series, bat London and its teeming streets, interminable traffic, its institutions, Its pnlacep, its slums, its nobility, its costers, in fact all of London. It is said that this exhibition embraces eveiy possible phase of London life, and must prove delightfully interesting aa well as instructive. In addition to the "Living London" series, a great variety of other pictures will be displayed. Oreusot's famous steel works are said to be shown so luridly that, literally, the audience becomes quite heated. The fountains of Versailles is a very fine effect, as also the French Grana National Steeplechase. Some very humourous are also given, but there is an entire absence of "faked" reproductions. Mr Sydney Monk, the possessor of a fine tenor voice, will be heard in highclass ballads. The immense success of "Living London" elsewhere justifies the anticipation of a continuance here. A matinee is announced for Saturday.
