Thompson, an ex-Couu-oillor, was elected Mayor of Hastings defeating the present Mayor, Mr W. Y. Dennett, by 60 votes. AUCKLAND AND ONEHUNGA. AUCKLAND, April 25. Little interest was taken in the Mayoral election for the City, the result being regarded as a foregone conclusion. The polling resulted in the re-election of the present Mayor, Mr A. M. Myers, who received 1,584 votes, his opponent, Mr A. JP. Badley, receiving 89 votes. At Onehunga Mr J. Rowe waa elected Mayor, defeating the present Mayor, Mr Angus Gordon.
