STRIKES IN FRANCE.
MANY RIOTERS INJURED. Received April 23, 8.35 a.m. PARIS, April 22. At Lens, in uortboru France, and the centre of important coalfields, the strikers are wrecking the houses of the overseers aud engineers and damaging the telegraph wires. They are also rivetting sleepers across the railway lines in order to hamper the movements of the troops. The outrages culminated in serious street collisions, the cavalry dis parsing tho rioters with sabres, bayouefcs, and the butts of rifles. Similar scenes occurred at Ayron, J'enain, and Valenciennes, many people being injured.
