KING EDWARD'S HEALTH.

AN ALARMIST AMERICAN REPORT. The London correspondent of an American paper gives a rather alarming report of King Edward's health. Telegraphing on February 24th, he said:— The condition of King Edward's health does not please his immediate entourage. Bis Majesty bears every external evidence of ill-healtb, and it is plain that he is not strong. At the opening of Parliament the people were shooked at His Majesty's appearance. Hia face was ashen andhia voice husky with wading bis soeeoh. The speech was frequently punctuated with gasps aa from a man suffering from an internal malady. When Mb speech was floißhcd, he looked around for bis oane, which was three feet away. He apparently hesitated to trust his legs to reach for the cane, and the . court ohamberlain placed it in the King's hands. His Majesty suffers keenly from liis injured leg and walks with a , limp. If any man bears on his'face signs of an early physical break-up ! iie is King Edward. Since the King -went to Sandringham to be examined Jby Sir Felix Simon, Dr Treves and physician, he has been comjjelled to give up smoking. The srtlinquishment of the weed makes Majesty irritable to his companions and the servants. His Majesty's irritation is increased by the slightest suggestion of his not looking well. Like all members of the Guelph family, he desires to learn the truth of bis misfortune. He fears cancer, which he iknows his family to be susceptible to. He takes massages£daily. The last Privy Council was held in St.. James' Palace, as His Majesty could not go to Buckingham Palace. King Edward is rapidly putting on •flesh. His beard is now almost as white as soow.
