THE MARAROA.

WELLINGTON, April 18.' ~ The steamer Mararoa was late in arriving from Lytteltou to-day, owing to two mishaps on the journey. When passing near the Mole a at Lytteltun the steamer came in contact with the mooring of a dredge with the result tha.t she swung on to the mud bank, where she was detained about an hour ajd a half. At 5 o'clock, this morning, a slight breakdown Occurred in the engineroom, and it was 8.30 before matters were righted sufficiently for the vessel to continue her voyage.
