MASTERTON TECHNICAL SCHOOL.

MEETING OF MANAGERS. The monthly meeting of the Managers of tho Mastertoa Technical School was hel'd on Thursday evening last. There wore present— Messrs E. Foist (chair'), \V. JH. Jao<ison, J. tf. Keith, and J. M. Coradine. The Treasurer reported a credit balauco of £5 7 s Id. Miss F. Roberta wrote askiDa that the Imperial system of dress-fitting and dress-cut ng be introduced into the school. Owing to the fact that the Education Department declined to recognise two separate systems of dress-making in the same school, the Managers decided that they could not accede to Miss Roberts' request. lfi was decided that the Plumbers' Glass should be re-organised and placed under the d'roction of Mr S. Sinallwood subject to the recognition of the Education Department, and that the present stock of apparatus and material ownod by Mr SmaJlwood's class to purchased for tho earn of £3.

The Secretary was instructed to write to Mr A. J. Parton an appreciative letter in respect to his past aervioes as instructor o' the Plumbers' Class.

Mr A. N. Burns, 8.A., wrote resigning tho position of instructor of the Civil. Service Class. ' The resignation wus received with repret. Mr C. N. Haalani was appointed to fill the vaoaucy oaused by the retirement of Mr Burns. Mr J. M. Coradine was appointed to confer with the Maiterton Trust Lands Trustees regarding the renovating of the interior of the Technical School workshops in Dixon Street.

The Secretary was instructed to ascertain from the respective instructors what works would be likely to be forthcoming for the Technical Schools exhibits section at tho International Exhibition.

'Accounts amounting to* £29 12s 6d were passed for payment.
